Machine Guns
Americans: Browning M2. The M2 uses a 50 caliber bullet and shoots around 500 round per minute. Very powerful rifle round. It is still in use today by the US Military.
Germans: MG42. The MG42 was developed by the German Army. It was a very fast shooting gun. Shot around 1000 rounds per minute. This machine gun uses a 7.92x57 Mauser. Russians: Degtyarev Model 1940. The model 1940 was a very fast shooting gun too. It shot around 2400 rounds per minute. Also it uses the same round as the Russian Mosin Nagant 7.62x54r round. British: Vickers 303. The Vickers 303 took a lot of man power to shoot. It took around 8 people to fire it. One to shoot, one to reload and the rest to carry the gun and ammunition. It used the standard British 303 round. Japanese: Type 92 Machine Gun. The Type 92 Machine Gun was use for light anti-aircraft. It used very heavy 7.7mm rounds. It was air-cooled weapon. It had a maximum range of 4500 meters. Italians: Brenda Modello 30. The Brenda Modello 30 was the most unusual light machine gun during World War II because it used a fixed clip instead of being belt fed like the other light machine guns. It used 20 round stripper clips. The Modello 30 used 6.2x5.5mm round and shot around 500 rounds per minute. Only around 30,000 of these were made. |

Tactics
Americans: One of the best tactics they used was called "wolf-pack". They sent out 4 to 6 submarines to counter-attack the oncoming Japanese ships. It was pretty successful.
Germans: They most successful tactic for the Germans was the blitz. The blitz is where you go in with heavy tanks and bombers to soften up the enemy and then have infantry and some more tanks surround the enemy from all sides so they have no where to go. The enemy has to say and fight and there is no escape.
Japanese: The Japanese tactic that was the most widely known was the art of surprise. They used this during the attack on Pearl Harbor. They had very fast fighter airplanes and they just come in out of nowhere to attack an enemy.

Americans: B-17 or the Flying Fortress. The B-17 was made by Boeing during the 1930s. The name Flying Fortress was trademarked by Boeing. The average mph for the B-17 was 300. It could also carry aroun 6000 pounds worth of bombs. The range of the B-17 was around 1300 miles. The B-17 was used by the British Royal Air Force, United States Army Air Corps, United States Navy, and the United States Coast Guard.
The P-51 Mustang was an American fighter plane. It used an Allison v-1710 engine, because of the engine it had a low altitude. Mustang piliots during World War II Claimed to down around 5,000 enemy planes. Germans: The Focke-Wulf Fw-190 was a single engine aircraft. It could be used as a bomber, anti-tank fighter, and a standard fighter. It had many uses and was very versatile. It used a BWM 801 twin radial engine. |

Germany: The Bismarck was a German battleship that was completed in 1940. It was considered to be one of the most powerful ships in the world, but was eventually sunk on may 23rd, 1941 after being attacked by three British ships.
Japan: The Yamoto was a battleship that was built for the Japanese Navy. It was completed in 1941, and was considered to be one of the most heavily armored ships in the world. It had fought at two major battles, and was sunk on April 7th, 1945 while on mission at Okinawa.
